Shop Spotlight: The Little Mew

I recently stumbled across a girl on Instagram called Amba. She specialises in beautifully detailed polymer clay charms. Each one is hand crafted and painted to create the most precious little charms.

She creates her own unique take on fantasy and fairytale creatures such as unicorns and mermaids alongside her own creative personified spirit charms. What actually drew me to her was her little versions of Ni No Kuni Familiars.

Ni No Kuni is a game from the people behind Studio Ghibli and Game Developers Level-5. It features little creatures which you catch and train to fight for you while you fight along side your friends and a little fairy Drippy in the RPG game on the PS3

Amba also has a great YouTube channel where you can find charm updates and even helpful tutorials! Once upon a time I tried to work with polymer clay but I didn't get on with it but she has definitely inspired me to give it another go!

You can find lots of special pieces on her Etsy shop and she also offers a variety of finishes for each charm! I've ordered 3 charms from her, and she even made me a little Drippy charm for free which I am so touched about! As soon as they arrive I will be doing a review on her service, packaging and products!

I highly recommend you check her out and you can find all the links below!

Christmas on Pinterest

Christmas is fast approaching! While I'm some of us are relaxing in the knowledge that presents bought and wrapped in November. Some of us will have a fully drawn out plan and some of us will just be winging it.

This Christmas is my first in my own flat. I wont be seeing my family this year due to housing complications and the fact they like over 3 hours away. So Scott and I decided it would be a nice chance for us to spend Christmas together and have it completely our way! The tree was up far too early, presents bought by December and wrapped a week later! The main stress I've been having is the food! We live in walking distance of a Lidl, Waitrose and a Tesco Metro and neither of us can drive. I've made comprehensive lists of what to buy and when to buy it and even where. Fingers crossed I can get veg and a turkey!

I thought I would share with you a few Pinterest boards to give you some help / ideas for Christmas!

It's all about the personal touch

Since day one, I've always wanted to provide a service that made the customer feel special and important. A big part of that for me was packaging. Over the years the packaging has changed and progressed. Most of the time I would use tissue paper, stickers, gift bags and boxes that I had collected over the years. Sitting down and creating a gift like package has always been something I really enjoyed, but as time goes by and things get busier, I had to think of a new way to package orders that was less time consuming but still special. For years I have wanted to get some gift boxes, I always thought they would be out of my price range, however after looking around I made an investment in a small quantity of various sized gift boxes. Combined with Peppermint Puff logo stickers, business cards and an obsession with cute tape / washi tape I managed to find a way that was not only quick and easy but super cute, fun AND safe for posting!

Trying something new

I've been making jewellery seriously for about 7 years now. I have made it on and off growing up, but I didn't really know what I was doing. I love teaching myself new things, too this day I'm still learning techniques and picking up tricks!

I also generally love trying new things. I get inspiration and ideas from look at a pile of beads and charms, so I thought I'd share with you some of the new things I've made! (Excuse the Instagram photos!)

I've got much more coming up so keep an eye out! Including a fun pastel Seaside inspired collection!
