Super Sassy End of Year Wishlist

As the year comes to an end, I've rounded up all the stuff I'm lusting after right now. Hopefully some of it will end up in the sales so I can get some super bargains! If not...well I guess I'll just have to hunt me down some dollars! (Or pounds...that could be more practical)

1. The Shire Skirt by Go Follow Rabbits [$45.99 Approx £30]
It's The Shire...ON A SKIRT. seriously, do you need me to go on? Cause...IT'S THE SHIRE ON A SKIRT. You know? The Shire On a....oh right yeah, I think I said that.
2. River Island Hi-Top Platform [£45]
UGH. PLATFORM TRAINERS. I don't even. and for those of you who don't know me I kind of live in trainers. Alas most of mine has worn on the sole and can no longer withstand rain...or water, or anything. So if I add a massive platform to the bottom it will take longer to wear away! Logic. Sweet platformy logic.

3. OCC Liptar in Hoochie [£9.95]
I've been lusting after these for what feels like years and I finally got my first as a Christmas present from my friend! I got Anime which is just perfect, and now I need Hoochie!

4. Crown and Glory Not a Lotta Rosie Headband in Aubergine Or Lilac [£15]
Gee, it sure is purdy!
5. Miss Selfridge Edge Black Studded Shoe [£35 but currently on sale for £17]
I have never bought anything from Miss S but my friend works there so I had a little look around and spotted these shoes, I spent a while admiring them and then left empty handed, it wasn't until an hour later when I was nearly home that I realised how badly I wanted them, so I will try and grab these sooner rather then later incase then sell out!
6. Dexter Series 5
Because Netflix stops at season 3, and after the horrendous pain that was the end of season 4 waiting to watch this has just been annoying! Hopefully soon I can bring that longing to an end!

7. ASOS Limited Edition Skull Bracelet [£8]
I don't usually buy bracelets as I tend to live in hoodies and cardigans so they never get seen but something about this one really catches my attention, although for someone who doesn't buy bracelets £8 feels a little steep!
8. LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean for PS3
I just need it.
9. Black Milk Mermaid Leggings [AUS $80 Approx £51]
Because my long red wig needs a companion and so I can pretend to be Ariel forever. Minus the part where I have to live in the sea because that'd suck, like the sea. SUUUCK. My size is currently out of stock but I'll probably just fork out the money for them as soon as they're back in stock!
10. Loungefly Embossed Hello Kitty Bag [£54.99]
Admittedly I'm already getting the lavender version for christmas, but from the inch i've seen of the bag i'm getting it's already enough to make me want it in mint too!

What are you lusting after and/or hoping will pop up in the sales?

Sugar & Vice Review: Bones Bones Bones!

While reviewing my newest piece of Sugar & Vice jewellery I realised I still hadn't written or posted a review for the bone earrings and necklace I had bought a while back. At this point I can't remember exact postage times, however It was pretty fast!

This necklace actually came about when they posted their halloween items and I asked if they would or could create bone themed jewellery, sparkly bone jewellery! And low and behold a few days later some gorgeous sparkly bone jewellery appeared in their shop. I bought some earrings and a necklace.

The necklace came in this gorgeous box with Sugar & Vice printed on to it

The bones at attached earring posts and are really nice and big

The necklace has 7 bones on it which hang from a chain, I really love how realistic the bone shapes are but are also feel comical and unique. I love the way they sit on the neck.
Something else I love about this necklace which i forgot to photograph is if you flip it around the backs of the bones are white and you can wear it that way too! Making this necklace two in one! Glitter for nights out and white for a more realistic mono feel!

All Sugar & Vice necklaces have little engraved tags, what I really liked about this one was the tag was bone shaped! Which I thought was such a nice little extra touch!

Overall I am so happy with these items, I wear them a lot and always get compliments

  • Handmade, unique design
  • Amazing service, if you are a Facebook fan a lot (if not all) interaction will come from Sarah who is hands down the most legit woman I think maybe ever.
  • They listen to design ideas and also do custom orders (Review of mine coming soon!)
  • Reversible Necklace (if you want!)
  • Comes in a really cute box, well packaged and come relatively quickly

  • You have to wait for it to arrive, this is only a con if you're an "I want it now" kind of person

You can still purchase the earrings and necklace on their Etsy shop:

Treasure Tuesday: Tasty Trinkets

I've been finding some really amazing food themed jewellery recently, some of which looks so real that the temptation to take a bite is a little too much! Alas at the end of the day it's all inedible, but that doesn't mean you can't rocks these tasty treats everyday!

You'll also notice a majority of my TT featured items are from etsy, this is because I love supporting and promoting independent and small businesses and brands!

Wishlist Wednesday (14/11/12)

Okay so I'm aware today is actually Friday! But Wishlist Friday hardly rolls off the tongue. I meant to post this two days ago but I got sidetracked! Regardless here it is, the things I'm craving this week.

This has got to be one of the most amazing necklaces I've seen in a while. It's incredibly cute and such a unique idea, I love HOYFC because they always make such lovely jewellery. Sadly I am yet to own any as it's a little higher then I like to spend on jewellery. Although I would love to purchase this when I have some spare cash!

I am a big fan on the Sleek Pout Paints as I suffer from lipstick paranoia. If I have lipstick on I spend my entire day checking my lips and licking and fiddling with them that I just end up ruining what I've put on. So when I first discovered OCC I was amazed with the product but at the time they weren't for sale in the UK. When Sleek released their Pout Paints I decided to invest in them instead, I love the freedom, But this colour from OCC is so wonderful, I would love to have it readily available everyday without having to mix the right shade myself!

I just quite like the look of this, I really love Tony Moly products and I've never really owned any kind of powder but from the reviews I've seen this ones really nice! :D

Every once in a while you'll find something you desperately want and your brain just gives you reasons why the high price is ok and it will never let you make excuses. This would be it. They're more than double what I've spent on shoes before. I know there are a few replica's / copies but I almost feel I would rather just save up and fork out for a real pair then an imitation. I just know the quality will be far superior. What irk's me is the International price is nearly £40 more at a sale price, which makes me wonder if I should just wait until I go to Japan to get myself a pair! All I have to say is, dear life, please give me money for my feet are so sad without these shoes.

Movember Necklaces for Sale!

So I'm a little late posting this but better late then never!

This year I really wanted to find a way to raise money for Movember but as I can't grow a moustache I decided to do it in a way I know best! Craftily!

I wanted to share with you why I choose to support Movember this year
This is personal and hard to talk about so I will keep it brief

When I was 18 my dad died of secondary cancer. He was my hero and I was always his little princess. It was such a challenging time for me but knowing that I had 18 years with a dad who really loved and cared for me made it easier to cope with. I think it's so important to get involved in anything that can help improve care, treatment and the survival rate of serious illnesses.

For every necklace sold I will deposit 50% into my Movember Fund

My page is here:
If you'd rather just donate then make a purchase then that would be amazing

Remember to wear your necklace with pride and not just in November!

Each one of these necklaces is unique and one of a kind

These are Limited Edition and there are only 9 available.
8 come with AB rhinestones which look lovely in artificial light and spectacular in sunlight
The light purple one comes with sweet lavender pearly cabs
You can purchase the necklaces here! At £6.50 they're a steal and £3.25 off the profit will go straight to charity! When your necklace is shipped I will let you know and send you confirmation of the donation!

I ask you to please like and share this with your friends and family!
This is for such a good cause and every little helps (I didn't steal that from Tesco!)

Treasure Tuesday: Stocking Fillers

I'm a believer that it's never too early to prepare for Christmas I did some major christmas shopping yesterday, I managed to get some big presents and a bunch of wonderful stocking fillers.  Here are some ideas for affordable yet lovely / fun stocking fillers!

Everything Pictured is Under £5 (Excluding postage)
I've tried to choose as many items as I can which can be bought in store where possible to save on postage costs!

#1 This is always a favourite for me, I sometimes get these for people for no reason other then because I can. Lego Mini Figure Mystery Packs. These are little lego figures that come in sealed opaque packets and inside every packet is a mystery figure. Every few months they bring out a new series. You can either grab them and hope for the best or do as Jade, Mali and I do and stand in the shop fondling the packages (This step is optional, but fun)

£1.99 Each (WH Smith, Supermarkets, Online)

2# Punky Pins has a nice selection of stud earrings for £5, although you can get cheaper studs elsewhere these earrings are unique and perfect for people who like a little flare in their jewellery boxes

£5.00 (Online Only)

3# I love getting these at christmas because you can mix and match flavours and they're always wonderful for dieters, I love to get people chocolate but not everyone wants a big block when they're watching their weight, these are guaranteed stocking fillers for my family every year!

£1.89 each or 3 for £5 (Online and in store)

Yankee Candle Tarts
4# I've known about these for a while but only very recently purchased any. I only recommend these for people who already have tart burners (Although you can pick up brand new burners in charity shops if you keep an eye out) How they work is you place an unpackaged tart into the dish at the top and an unscented tea light in the candle pot below. As it heats up the tart will melt and give off a lovely smell. Each tart lasts around 8 hours and the smell lingers long after the candle below is extinguished

£1.25 (House of Fraser, Clintons and Online)

#5 If you know someone who has a bathtub and loves it to death these are always a good buy, they vary in price, usually around £2-4 each, If you go into lush the staff are always helpful and can find the perfect bomb to suit everyone, they will also show you how the bomb works and what it looks like which is again, fun!
£Varies (Online and in store)

And the rest:

£2.00 (Online and in store)

£4.00 (Online)

River Island Pearl Cat Ear Headband
£4.00 (Online and in store)

River Island Badges 4 Pack
£3.00 (Online and in store)

£4.99 (Online)

The last thing I will say is always check charity shops, you can often find new / lightly used items such as books and dvd's, I always grab a few bargains for my immediate family / other half because I know they don't mind where items come from. I would suggest caution when choosing where to get certain items from as there are people who will disapprove of dvd's not in shrink wrap or books without perfect spines!

Micro Movie Reviews: James Bond 007: Skyfall

I am a massive movie watcher / cinema goer, and I would like to work that into my blog, so I've decided a new feature on my blog will be Micro Movie Reviews.
There are hundreds of reviews online so rather then giving you a lengthy detailed report, I will give you a short and (generally) spoiler free summary of a film, in a few lines!
(The content will be my opinion and honest feeling about the film featured)

(May contain minor spoilers)

I find there is a definite line between people who love and people who hate James Bond. The films are a bit like movie Marmite.  Personally I'm a huge fan of the sauve, super spy and his ridiculous gadgets. I also tend to avoid the hype so I don't have the chance to be disappointed about the film when I see it.

My Thoughts
Bond, James Bond still hasn't mastered the art of "keeping it in his pants"
Although I suppose that is either part of the charm or an early idea they couldn't shake off.
Less gadgets, more sophistication, a load of city hopping and delicious new Q will be a portion of your viewing pleasure, and the rest is too good to tell!

The only fault with the film was that it had to end!

Here's a plug! I studied Photography along side this beauty, not only is she a very talented photographer but she has a killer set of pipes. I felt this was in keeping with the bond theme and I say it's worth a listen, it's a nice cover, with some variation on the original and her voice brings a new dimension to the song, a more haunting feel!

My Boyfriend Started A Music Blog!

My other half has just started a music blog. I'd love if you could check it out / follow!
I'm proud of him for starting / pursuing it because I know he's a busy lad. I even managed to convince him to post about Kyary Pamyu Pamyu because I know he loves her really!
The blog is called repeat all and features lots of unique and indie music!

"Repeat All is a Cambridge, UK Indie music blog that started out in October 2012 with the sole intention to bring you all the best tunes that make you want to dance around the room doing the bendy knees dance!"

October Favourites

While trying to think of something blog about I realised October was nearly over and it was time for a favourites post! I've discovered a good variety of items recently and these are the cream of the crop
So here are my favourite beauty products this month!

Barry M Blusher - BL1
I've actually had this blusher for a while but I was a little scared to use it because it is a very bright pink, I bought it because I really wanted candy pink doll cheeks. I recently starting using this properly, I use a light wash on the apples of my cheeks and it gives me really sweet doll like cheeks! I can't put this down!

Sugarpill Palette - Heartbreaker Palette
This is my most recent purchase from Sugarpill. I am such a massive fan of their products, and I actually want everything they sell so I decided to save a few quid and opt for a palette rather then buying the products separately. I choose to get the Heartbreaker palette, I wasn't too sure I would like 2pm as a colour but when I played with it I actually really liked it! Mochi is my favourite, I looove the way it applies, such a gorgeous colour.

O.P.I Nail Polish - On Her Majesty's Secret Service (From Skyfall Collection)
Recently John Lewis opened in Exeter, I've no interest in anything they sell except for O.P.I! I went in knowing I needed to buy a polish, ANY POLISH. As they had the Skyfall collection I decided to pick a colour, I chose this one as it's just gorgeous in sunlight. It's a gunmetal grey with really unique duo-chrome shimmer.

Tony & Guy Sea Salt Spray
Everyone's been talking about Sea Salt Sprays recently, but I didn't want to spend a lot on something I'd never tried. Boot's we're selling it 1/3rd off the original price so I thought I'd get one, I use it in dry hair and give it a little scrunch and it gives my tips a nice wave / texture as they're so straight and boring naturally!

L'oreal Super Liner in Intense Black
I've been looking for a really thin liner for a while but I wanted a felt tipped one as I find them easier to use, this one is perfect!

Lush - Ultrabland
I had been hearing about how wonderful this product was from my friend Jade. When I was in Lush the lovely shop girl was showing me and another girl how good it was and I caved and bought the smaller tub. I tend to go for facewipes to remove make-up because it's more convenient but they tend to either hurt my eyes or leave them feeling irritated afterwards, I've also tried liquids and creams for removing makeup but this is in a league of it's own. I apply it to my face and rub it in, I also close my eyes and rub it across my lashes and with a warm damp flannel I remove everything, it leaves my skin feeling very soft, and most of all it's as gentle as using water, my eye's always feel fine afterwards! I really love this product and couldn't imagine using anything else!

Lush - Angels on Bare Skin
This is another product I got from the trip the Lush above, I wanted soemthing I could use daily but that wasn't too harsh on my skin, It leaves my skin feeling incredibly clean, like I have just used a mask but quicker and less effort!

So this is everything! I imagine these will still be my favourites in november but I'll have to try and find something equally as wonderful! Thank's for looking!
What have you been loving this month?
